No. 01/01/63 / Th. XVI, January 2, 2012: DEVELOPMENTS IN CONSUMER PRICE INDEX / INFLATION SOUTH KALIMANTAN

In December 2011 the city of Banjarmasin had an inflation of 1.07 percent. Of the 66 cities in Indonesia, tercatatsemuakota inflation. The highest inflation was in Kota Kupang at 2.19 percent and the lowest inflation was recorded at 0.02 percent KotaTanjung Pinang.

Inflation Banjarmasin occur due to price increases shown by the rise in the index in the group of foodstuff by 3.02 percent, processed foods, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco 0.68 percent, housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel for 0.59 percent, health 0.09 percent, and the group of transport communications and financial services by 0.14 percent. Meanwhile deflation in clothing and education, recreation and sport sebesar0,08 percent and 0,09persen.

            According to its components, in Desember goods whose prices are influenced by government policies (administered goods inflation) generally experienced inflation of 0,15persen, prices volatile (volatile goods inflation) generally experienced inflation of 3.07 percent and core components (core inflation) generally experienced inflation of 0.48 percent.
The inflation rate of calendar year (January to December) in 2011 was recorded at 3.98 percent.
