No. 21/05/63 / Th. XVI, May 1, 2012 DEVELOPMENTS IN CONSUMER PRICE INDEX / INFLATION SOUTH KALIMANTAN

In April 2012 the city of Banjarmasin deflation of 0.01 percent. Of the 66 cities in Indonesia, carrying 52 cities experienced inflation and 14 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation was in Pangkal Pinang by 1.76 percent and the lowest occurred in the city of Bengkulu at 0.02 percent. Meanwhile, the highest deflation occurred in the town of Tarakan by 0.51 percent and the lowest deflation occurred in the city of Banjarmasin by 0.01 percent.

Banjarmasin deflation due to decreased prices indicated by lower index of foodstuff by 0.01 percent and clothing group by 0.98 percent. Meanwhile, processed food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco experienced inflation of 0.12 percent, housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel inflation is 0.07 percent, and 0.12 percent of inflation of health groups, education, recreation and sport inflation 0.13 percent and the transport communications and financial services experienced an inflation of 0.06 percent.

According to its components, goods whose prices are influenced by government policies (administered goods inflation) generally experienced inflation of 0.05 percent, prices volatile (volatile goods inflation) generally experienced inflation of 0.23 percent and core components (core inflation ) experienced a deflation of 0.14 percent.

The inflation rate of calendar year (January-April) in 2012 amounted to 2.44 percent, while the rate of inflation â € œyear on yearâ € (April 2012 to April 2011) was 6.26 percent.
