No. 33/07/63 / Th. XVI, July 2, 2012 DEVELOPMENTS IN CONSUMER PRICE INDEX / INFLATION SOUTH KALIMANTAN

In June 2012 the city of Banjarmasin experienced inflation of 0.59 percent. Of the 66 cities in Indonesia, recorded all cities experiencing inflation. The highest inflation was in the city of Ambon at 2.39 percent and the lowest inflation was recorded at 0.04 percent Bima City.

Inflation Banjarmasin occur due to price increases shown by the rise in the index on foodstuff by 0.72 percent, processed foods, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco by 1.33 percent, housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel by 0.11 percent, clothing by 0.07 percent, health by 0.08 percent and the transport, communication and financial services by 0.39 percent. According to its components, goods whose prices are influenced by government policies (administered goods inflation) generally experienced inflation of 0.32 percent, prices volatile (volatile goods inflation) inflation by 1.58 percent and core components (core inflation) inflation by 0.21 percent.

             The inflation rate of calendar year (January-June) of 2012 by 2.74 percent, while the rate of inflation â € œyear on yearâ € (June 2012 to June 2011) amounted to 5.51 percent.
