No. 055/11/63 / Th. XVI, 1 November 2012: DEVELOPMENTS IN CONSUMER PRICE INDEX / INFLATION SOUTH KALIMANTAN

In October 2012 the city of Banjarmasin deflation of 0.03 percent. Of the 66 cities in Indonesia, carrying 37 cities experienced inflation, while 29 other cities experiencing deflation. The highest inflation was in the city of Manokwari 0.97 percent and the lowest inflation was recorded at 0.01 percent of Kediri. The city with the highest deflation was Ambon at 2.44 and lowest deflation was in Madiun 0,01.

              Banjarmasin deflation due to decreased prices indicated by lower index of foodstuff by 0.62 percent. Meanwhile processed foods, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco price increase of 0.14 percent, housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel rose by 0.01 percent, clothing rose by 0.69 percent, health group ride by 0.14 percent, and the group of transport, communication and financial services rose by 0.31 percent.

According to its components, goods whose prices are influenced by government policies (administered goods inflation) generally experienced inflation of 0.13 percent, prices volatile (volatile goods inflation) deflation of 0.57 percent and core components (core inflation) inflation of 0.18 percent.

The inflation rate of calendar year (January to October) in 2012 amounted to 4.12 percent, while the rate of inflation â € œyear on yearâ € (October 2012 to October 2011) amounted to 5.74 percent.
