No. 051/10/63 / Th. XVI, October 1, 2012: DEVELOPMENTS IN CONSUMER PRICE INDEX / INFLATION SOUTH KALIMANTAN

In September 2012 the city of Banjarmasin deflation of 0.20 percent. Of the 66 cities in Indonesia, carrying 21 cities experienced inflation, while 45 other cities experiencing deflation. The highest inflation was in Pangkal Pinang by 0.74 percent and the lowest inflation was recorded at 0.01 percent Kota Dumai. The city with the highest deflation was Singkawang by 2.18 and the lowest deflation occurred in the city of Cirebon, Kediri, Medan, and Cilegon 0,02 respectively.

Banjarmasin deflation due to decreased prices indicated by lower index of foodstuff by 1.08 percent and the transport, communications and financial services by 1.92 percent. Meanwhile processed foods, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco price increase of 0.24 percent, housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel by 0.01 percent, clothing group by 2.17 percent, health group at 0, 19 percent and education, recreation and sport 2.86 percent.

According to its components, goods whose prices are influenced by government policies (administered goods inflation) generally experienced deflation of 0.15 percent, prices volatile (volatile goods inflation) deflation of 1.21 percent and core components (core inflation) inflation by 0.25 percent.
The inflation rate of calendar year (January-September) of 2012 by 4.15 percent, while the rate of inflation â € œyear on yearâ € (September 2012 to September 2011) amounted to 5.14 percent.
