No. 13/03/63 / Th. XVI, March 1, 2012: DEVELOPMENTS IN CONSUMER PRICE INDEX / INFLATION SOUTH KALIMANTAN

In February 2011 the city of Banjarmasin deflation of 0.31 percent. Of the 66 cities in Indonesia, carrying 40 cities experienced inflation and 26 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation was in Mataram of 1.73 percent and the lowest inflation was recorded at 0.03 percent Tangerang City. Meanwhile, the highest deflation occurred in the city of Jambi deflation of 1.29 percent and the lowest occurred in Palu at 0.04 percent.

Banjarmasin deflation due to decreased prices indicated by lower index of foodstuff by 1.67 percent, and the group of transport communications and financial services by 0.30 percent. Meanwhile processed foods, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco experienced inflation of 0.32 percent, housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel inflation at 0.03 percent, the clothing group by 1.37 percent, health 0.36 inflation percent, and the group recreation and sports education experienced inflation of 0.01 percent.

According to its components, goods whose prices are influenced by government policies (administered goods inflation) generally experienced inflation of 0.22 percent, prices volatile (volatile goods inflation) generally experienced deflation of 1.73 percent and core components (core inflation ) experienced an inflation of 0.20 percent.

The inflation rate of calendar year (January-February) in 2012 amounted to 2.60 percent, while the rate of inflation â € œyear on yearâ € (February 2012 to February 2011) amounted to 6.19 percent.
