No. 011/02/63 / Th XV, February 6, 2012: SOUTH KALIMANTAN ECONOMIC GROWTH IN 2011

South Kalimantan's economy in 2011 grew by 6.12%, with the highest growth in the services sector amounted to 8.73% and the lowest in the manufacturing sector 2.43%. Non-oil economic growth in 2011 reached 6.28%.

South Kalimantan amount of GDP for the year 2011 on the basis of current prices reached Rp 68.23 trillion, while at constant prices reached Rp. 32.55 trillion.

On a quarterly basis, the GDP of South Kalimantan fourth quarter of 2011 decreased compared to the third quarter of 2011 (q-to-q) amounted to minus 6.77%, but when compared to the fourth quarter of 2010 (y-on-y) grew by 6, 93%.

From demmand side, household consumption pushed the GDP amounted to 46.56%, and 15.02% government consumption, gross fixed capital formation (GFCF), or 20.51% of physical investment, and net exports amounted to 20.99%, which consist of export 71.69% and 50.71% minus imports.

From the looks of all the components demand also experienced growth in 2011, with the highest growth in GFCF component of 8.47%, 7.62%, government consumption and household consumption expenditure 5.43%. While the components of net exports grew by 1.29%.

GDP per capita at current prices in 2011 reached Rp. 18.45 million (US $ 2102.17) while the GDP per capita in 2010 amounted to Rp. 16.49 million (US $ 1820.64)
