Deflation in Tanjung city was happened because an overall decreasing of goods such as: raw food by -0.42%; clothing by -0.03%; education, recreation, and sport by -0,20%; transportation, communication, and monetary service by -1.46%. On the other hand, housing, water, electricity, gas,and fuel group had inflation by 0.13%; health by 0,07%; and food by 0.14%.

According to its component, administered goods had deflation by -0.66% in January 2016. Volatile goods had the deflation by -0.57% and the core component had inflation by 0,09%.
