Abstract

The population of the labor force in February 2013 amounted to 1,937,493 inhabitants. That number has increased by 2.65 per cent, when compared to February 2012, amounting to 1,887,434 people.

Working population in February 2013 reached 1,861,648 inhabitants, has the addition of 55 707 lives than in February 2012, amounting 1.805.941jiwa.

Unemployment rate (TPT) is 3.91 percent. That number has decreased compared to the state in February 2012 were at 4.32 percent.

The agricultural sector is the sector most labor-intensive. As many as 38.60 per cent of agricultural labor is absorbed. The trade sector is the second largest sector in employment, amounting to 21.46 per cent.

Status of workers in South Kalimantan is dominated by workers employed in the informal sector. In February 2013 was as much as 62.81 per cent of workers in the informal sector. Most of these workers are self status (19.53 percent), try assisted by temporary workers (18.09 per cent) as well as self-employed and unpaid workers (25.19 percent).

Workers in the formal sector recorded 37.19 percent is made â€‹â€‹up of workers with the status of a worker / employee (34.11 percent) and the status of the attempted assisted by permanent workers (3.08 percent)
